Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and efficiently on highways and local roads.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all shipments are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily inspection reports (DVIR) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delays.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
