Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and adhere to all traffic regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to meet delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route adjustments and priority shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area geography
- Basic proficiency with handheld delivery tracking systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
