Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required by FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, straps, chains).
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DOT) and documentation for all shipments.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while on the road.
- Represent NorthWest Transport professionally with customers and dock personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (OTR or Regional).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT/HOS regulations and logbook compliance.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
