Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for local/regional routes within Chicagoland area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles before/after each shift
- Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch team
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Knowledge of Chicago area traffic patterns and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings
