Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes with on-time delivery focus
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD compliance)
- Load/unload freight with precision using specialized handling equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform minor preventative maintenance checks during route execution
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and route planning
- Strong work ethic and punctuality record
- Knowledge of Kansas City metro area and regional highways
- Ability to pass mandatory background check and drug screening
