Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods on scheduled routes throughout Indianapolis
- Plan efficient daily routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Inspect vehicles before and after routes to ensure safety compliance and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload cargo with proper lifting techniques and securement protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience with route delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and mobile delivery applications
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required
