Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight to various locations in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
- Manage time effectively to ensure on-time deliveries while adhering to all DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations in California.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
