Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, and asphalt.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, loaders, or hand tools as required by the job site.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes and job status.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and maintained in top working condition.
- Adhere to strict safety procedures to protect yourself, your crew, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat or Tanker preferred but not always required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in dump truck driving.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and operating heavy machinery safely.
- Strong commitment to safety, time management, and operational excellence.
