Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within New York and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks with precision and care to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate digital logs (EOBR) and all necessary delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding traffic conditions and schedule changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic regulations, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B is required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling procedures and DOT regulations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
