Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials (gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from construction sites.
- Load and unload materials safely using forklifts, shovels, or other equipment.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting during transport.
- Keep the truck cab and equipment clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding schedules and traffic conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy hauling vehicles.
- Current DOT medical card and clean driving record (MVR).
- Strong knowledge of local Los Angeles roadways and traffic patterns.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and performing manual labor when necessary.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
