Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, dirt, gravel, and debris to designated sites efficiently.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure loads properly using tarps and straps to prevent shifting or spillage during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab, truck bed, and maintenance area at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and route instructions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or commercial heavy trucks.
- Achieved and maintained a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and operating vehicle controls for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
