Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A dump trucks to transport loose materials (soil, rock, asphalt, sand) to and from construction sites.
- Load and unload materials efficiently using front-end loaders, skid steers, or manual labor as required.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery tickets, and mileage records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and traffic conditions.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and cleanliness duties to keep the truck in top condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Current Medical Card and DOT physical.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of weight limits, load securement, and DOT compliance.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform routine vehicle checks.
