Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on dedicated Northeast routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload shipments using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and submit paperwork promptly
- Represent Premium Logistics with professional conduct in all interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR experience with dedicated routes preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC/NJ traffic patterns and bridge restrictions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently while following company guidelines
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings
