Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently over long-distance routes (OTR).
- Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring cargo security and minimal damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and changes.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and professional at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain Hazmat endorsement (preferred).
