Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in a safe and timely manner to deliver freight across the region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying all manifests and delivery documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (Preferred but not always required for qualified candidates).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
