Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in strict accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down procedures and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Navigate efficiently to delivery and pickup locations while adhering to traffic laws and route maps.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members at all times.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the truck cab and trailer interior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state highway regulations and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet customer needs.
