Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution and proper securing of freight.
- Verify delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures upon arrival.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of driving hours (HOS) and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delays.
- Uphold the company's safety standards and driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
