Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the integrity of freight during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and strictly adhere to Hours of Service regulations.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and navigation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work varying schedules to meet customer demands.
