Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers to transport freight between distribution centers and customer locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Plan efficient routes while meeting strict delivery time windows
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment when required
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Complete electronic logging system documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Hazmat placards (H endorsement preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and Southeastern US geography
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Availability for Friday evening through Monday morning shifts
