Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to deliver freight on regional routes (300-500 miles/day)
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery scheduling
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Maintain electronic logging system (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times (4-5 AM)
- Experience with flatbed/dry van preferred
