Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van & refrigerated) for long-haul routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance needs
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years recent tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for overnight trips and variable schedules
- Basic navigation and smartphone proficiency
- No preventable accidents in last 3 years
- Willingness to cross state lines
