Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers in a safe, legal, and professional manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% DOT compliance.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated customer locations on or before the agreed-upon schedule.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (must be able to pass a drug screen).
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
