Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul deliveries
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Accurately document logs, manifests, and delivery paperwork
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse staff
- Maintain clean driving record and represent Desert Star Transport professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years preferred)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Arizona roadways and mountain routes
- Strong navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Flexible schedule including overnight trips and weekend availability
- Excellent time management and communication skills
