Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members
- Navigate urban and highway routes efficiently using GPS and route planning tools
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain electronic logging system compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area and New England geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
