Responsibilities
- Secure and Transport Cargo: Safely load and unload freight using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain Vehicle Condition: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the box truck is in optimal working order.
- Route Planning: Navigate Los Angeles traffic efficiently to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Deliver a professional image and communicate clearly with clients regarding shipment status.
- Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts and log trip details.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) is preferred but not always required for 26ft box trucks.
- Equipment: Your own well-maintained 24-26ft box truck with valid registration and commercial insurance.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of local driving experience in the Los Angeles area.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean DMV record with no major violations.
