Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling of hazardous materials if required.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Manage all necessary delivery documentation, including bills of lading and electronic logs (EOC).
- Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Adhere to strict schedules and delivery timelines to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine vehicle cleaning and maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Current DOT medical card and a negative drug screen.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks requiring manual dexterity.
