Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight across the Sacramento region and beyond.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation in strict adherence to DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery locations, including handling paperwork and proof of delivery.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Drive defensively and adhere to all traffic laws to ensure the safety of the crew and public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (hazmat preferred but not required).
- Current DOT Medical Card and a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and a commitment to punctuality.
