Responsibilities
- Operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) in a safe and efficient manner on local and regional routes.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo according to weight distribution and safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and vehicle inspection reports.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and cargo status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial trucking environment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to obtain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements if applicable.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical skills to handle minor vehicle issues on the road.
