Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on designated routes within Ohio and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT safety standards.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and weight limits are met.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (Class A preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and MVR record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and proof of residency in Ohio.
