Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo securement.
- Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to minimize risks and accidents on the road.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
