Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) according to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and mileage records in compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, speed limits, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (CDL Class A preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- At least 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, traffic laws, and cargo handling procedures.
- Willingness to obtain Hazmat, Tanker, or Double/Triple Trailer endorsements (if required by role).
