Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT compliant) and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia traffic laws and highway systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
