Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over various routes, including regular trips to California and throughout the Southwest region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely, ensuring goods arrive in perfect condition.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all required delivery paperwork on time.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers while maintaining a professional image.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or potential issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to obtain one with our paid training program).
- Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and meet medical standards.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-centric attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Willingness to travel regionally and work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
