Responsibilities
- Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Ensure all safety checks are completed before and after each route to comply with DOT regulations.
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive tractor-trailers (Class A) in a professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Secure freight properly and assist in loading and unloading trucks at various terminals and delivery sites.
- Maintain Driver Logs: Keep accurate records of hours of service (HOS) and vehicle mileage using ELD systems.
- Customer Service: Represent our company professionally when interacting with customers and drivers.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must hold a valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) or be willing to obtain one through our training program.
- Clean Driving Record: A current MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) showing no serious violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Pass DOT Physical: Ability to pass the Department of Transportation physical examination.
- High School Diploma/GED: Minimum educational requirement.
- Strong Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent schedule.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to read maps and calculate distances.
