Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and efficiently, adhering to weight limits.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT compliance logs.
- Navigate delivery routes in New York City and surrounding areas using GPS systems.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Familiarity with NY traffic laws and delivery zones is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina to handle loading and unloading duties.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
