Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes within Kansas City metropolitan area
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Perform basic preventative maintenance checks and report issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong understanding of Kansas City metro roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
