Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety policies, and company procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and potential delays.
- Ensure the cargo area is clean and secure during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent verifiable experience in commercial truck driving.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work varied shifts and travel long distances.
