Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Operate commercial trucks in a safe, courteous, and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Cargo Handling: Secure cargo properly, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure the vehicle is in excellent condition.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks (DOT compliant).
- Route Planning: Follow designated routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals and customer satisfaction.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery status.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License required.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Medical Card: Current DOT medical card and physical examination card.
- Equipment: Ability to operate various types of equipment including dry van, reefer, or flatbed.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
