Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight across designated routes in the St. Louis metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure mechanical safety and report maintenance issues
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route navigation and real-time updates
- Participate in quarterly safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of St. Louis metro area and surrounding regions
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
