Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery manifests.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading duties and sit for extended periods.
- Availability to work rotating night shifts.
