Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently on various road conditions and terrains.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and forklift equipment.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and cargo to ensure safety compliance.
- Complete and maintain accurate delivery documentation, including bills of lading and electronic logs (DOT/HOS).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Current DOT medical card and valid DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of map reading, GPS navigation, and interstate regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
