Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently drive commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated locations on time.
- Load & Unload Cargo: Secure cargo using appropriate straps, chains, and binders to ensure safe transit.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD), bills of lading, and all required DOT paperwork.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and ensure customer satisfaction at every delivery point.
- Route Planning: Follow planned routes efficiently to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License: Must be held and in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean MVR: No major violations, DUIs, or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS devices.
- Attention to Detail: Keen focus on safety regulations and cargo integrity.
