Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in accordance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere to strict time schedules and delivery windows to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route updates or delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (Class A preferred, Class B considered).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and drug screen results.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Strong knowledge of road maps, GPS navigation, and local traffic patterns.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
