Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vans to transport freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, etc.) while adhering to weight limits.
- Verify delivery accuracy by obtaining signatures and processing paperwork efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure accident-free operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic knowledge of cargo handling and safety regulations.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
