Responsibilities
- Transport freight safely and efficiently across Florida and the Southeast
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Coordinate with shippers/receivers for seamless loading/unloading
- Optimize routes for maximum fuel efficiency and on-time delivery
- Uphall strict safety protocols and FMCSA compliance standards
- Build long-term client relationships through exceptional service
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Must own/operate 26ft box truck (2020+ model preferred)
- Current DOT medical certification and TWIC card
- Proven ability to manage independent contracts
- Strong knowledge of Tampa metro area and I-4 corridor
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic cargo securing and weight distribution expertise
