Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of the equipment.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution to prevent damage and accidents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the transportation industry.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and a drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation tools.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid state-issued ID.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
