Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment and safety protocols
- Complete necessary paperwork and electronic logging for compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (minimum 3 years experience)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proven experience with freight transport and cargo handling
- Strong knowledge of local/regional road networks and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- HAZMAT certification preferred
