Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of specialized freight to DC metropolitan area locations
- Maintain meticulous compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Optimize routes using advanced GPS navigation systems for maximum efficiency
- Build professional relationships with high-profile DC-based clients
- Utilize electronic logging systems for accurate hour tracking
- Participate in quarterly safety performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience with hazmat endorsement
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and route planning software
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility for regional overnight travel throughout Mid-Atlantic
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
