Responsibilities
- Operate your own box truck for local/regional freight deliveries
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage loading/unloading operations efficiently at client locations
- Maintain professional appearance and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Reliable box truck (26ft-53ft) in good mechanical condition
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Smartphone with reliable data for communication
- Basic knowledge of route navigation apps
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
