Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a 24-26 ft box truck for regional freight transport
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel consumption
- Coordinate with dispatch team to manage pick-up/drop-off schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Adhere to DOT regulations and implement safety protocols at all times
- Manage freight loading/unloading procedures with proper securement techniques
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability coverage $1M+)
- Reliable box truck in good mechanical condition (24-26 ft preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
